Today i diagnosed two cases of cancer-one of oesophagus [food pipe] and other of stomach. Both were young, tobacco chewers and smoker. Cancer of oral cavity,oesophagus and upper gastrointestinal tract  is easily diagnosed through oral examination,indirect laryngoscopy and endoscopy. the factors for thier causation are multiple ranging from very spicy food to the use of mucosal irritants like tobacco, smoking and alcohol. People often ask me that we have seen mr'x' smoking 50 ciggrattes a day for twenty years and nothing happened but unfortunatley it doesn't work that way. Those who are prone to the damage with the toxic effects are most surely to contract the dreaded disease. It is difficult to quit these habits but not impossible, i quit smoking 7 years back in an instant although till then it was ,seemingly impossible for me to do that. The person who smokes ,use tobacco or drink alcohol heavily feels like a superman but infact he is writing the destiny of his child and wife with the ashes of the smoke and also polluting the society to no end. This is what i have shown here when i was asked to keep an exhibition on anti tobacco day for the benefit of the patients two years back.
