difficult case
I hope evrything goes as planned tomarrow. It will be one of the most difficult case to handle in my practice so far and a case refused by most of the doctors of the city. This patient is a walking museum of the diseases. He came to me in the month of jan and i advised him to undergo surgery then after investigations. He is a chronic alcoholic, smoker , suffered from chest tuberculosis, had angioplasty done for blocked heart vessels. He is suffering from hypertension[ high B.P], diabetes, swelling over pancreas [chronic pancreatitis, with multiple calculus in pancreatic duct], with infarct of spleen, with liver abscess with blocked common bile duct with deep jaundice with blockage of the aorta [the main artey of human body which supplies blood everywhere] . In short , except kidneys and brain there is no vital organ in the body which is unaffected. And heights is that even after wasting three precious months, he still believes that a tantrik could cure him!!. infact after getting admitted ,he went to some 'baba' to cure his jaundice. Any way , we are going to operate on him tomarrow with the risk that he may not survive the surgery or the after stress of it, in this condition, but if we dont, he will surely not live after one- two months. The surgery will last for atleast four to five hours and we have the best team of doctors for his case as we want him to come out of the ordeal sucessfully. God bless him.
