the female shown here is raging with passion for her beloved, her heart is fullof desires .................. there is another meaning to the painting- a more favourite of mine- the theory of conception. the head portion of the female is an ova[ female egg] and the many swans shown are actually the sperms , only one of them reaches to the ova to concieve. look how the flower is depicted along the conception process..
